Back East

We’re back from spending Thanksgiving week with family in Kansas this year. It was a wonderful visit. Linnaea finished meeting everyone and we got to spend good times with some old friends. We’ll post pictures eventually.

Thanks be to God!

Bon Appétit

We are here at Chez Nous, where we’ve secretly replaced the breast milk they usually serve with Gerber Single Grain Rice Cereal for Baby. Let’s see if anyone can tell the difference!

Statistics

Linnaea once again visited the Doctor yesterday, where she was brutally stabbed four times under the pretense of inoculation. Despite her initial reaction, she survived quite well. Currently, as of yesterday, she weighs 13 lbs. 3.5 oz.; is 26.25″ long; and wears a 41 cm size hat. For those keeping score at home, that puts her in the 50th, 90th, and 50th percentiles, respectively. Oh yeah, and she gets to start on rice cereal. (More on that later today, hopefully.)

Baby da Vinci

Linnaea watched (sporadically) her first Baby Einstein video the other day. I picked Baby da Vinci because we’ve had a lot of fun looking at pictures of babies on the computer–faces really get her attention. Watching her watch the video was pretty entertaining. When something interesting came on, she’d get all excited and reach for the screen. Her favorites were the wooden toys (see HABA link in the sidebar). Highly entertaining.

The Office of the Keys?

Okay, not quite. But Linnaea does really like the plastic keys she got yesterday. I guess there’s a reason some toys are classics.
