Good girl.

Said goodbye to my Aughra today. She was the best of dogs. And the weirdest. And we miss her terribly.

The house finch fledglings are hopping and fluttering and chirping this morning, chasing after their fathers like a swarm of rather eager bees. The fathers, meanwhile, are teaching the noisy little things how to get their own food. I don’t think I’ve ever felt such camaraderie with a bird before.

I do not think the goldfinches are amused.

I’m getting ready to jump into GTD again, listening to the audiobook as I change a diaper. Meatwad and Boober are playing unsupervised in Meatwad’s room for the first time; I hope nobody winds up with a cracked head.
